Most spa days end in the parking lot. At Drift Spa, yours can keep going. We’re on Level 5 of the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square, so when your massage or facial is over, downtown Lancaster’s shops, galleries, and restaurants are a short walk away. Here’s how to plan a full day around your appointment.

Start With the Practical Details

A few things make a downtown spa day easier than you might expect:

  • Free parking: All Drift Spa guests park free at the Penn Square Parking Garage during their visit.
  • Hotel amenities: Your service includes access to the Marriott’s fitness center, pool, and hot tub, so arrive early or stay after.
  • Easy to find: Take the elevator to Level 5 at 25 S. Queen Street.

Choose Your Service

Pick based on how you want to feel for the rest of the day:

  • Swedish massage if you want to feel loose and relaxed but still ready to walk around town.
  • Deep Tissue or Table Thai massage if you’re working out real tension. Plan something low-key afterward.
  • Sublime Soul Facial if you want to leave with fresh, glowing skin before dinner.
  • The Mineral Mood Reset, our signature body ritual with warm oil, Dead Sea minerals, and a weighted blanket, if you want the full experience.

Before Your Appointment: Lancaster Central Market

Lancaster Central Market, the country’s oldest farmers market building, is just around the corner on North Market Street. It’s open year-round on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Grab a coffee and a pastry, or pick up local cheese, produce, and baked goods to take home. Go early, since the best stands sell out.

After Your Appointment: Galleries and Shops

Gallery Row, on the first two blocks of North Prince Street, is home to many of Lancaster’s art galleries. Queen Street and King Street also have boutiques and independent shops within a few blocks of the spa.

If your appointment falls on the first Friday of the month, you’re in luck. During First Friday, downtown galleries and shops stay open late, usually from 5 to 9 p.m., with live music and restaurant specials.

Finish With Dinner Downtown

Some of Lancaster’s best restaurants are within walking distance of Penn Square:

  • Josephine’s Downtown: Upscale dining with French and European influences, a few minutes’ walk from the spa near Central Market.
  • The Belvedere Inn: A long-time Lancaster favorite for upscale American food and cocktails, a short walk up North Queen Street.
  • 401 Prime: A high-end steakhouse on North Prince Street, right around the corner from the Belvedere.
  • Himalayan Curry & Grill: Indian and Nepali food just steps from the spa on East Orange Street, open for both lunch and dinner.

Book your table for about an hour after your service ends so you have time to enjoy the pool or hot tub first. On First Fridays and weekends, reserve ahead.
